Showing Tracks and Routes on the same screen - if Explore is not set up.
All instructions assume the XT is held in Landscape Orientation, and that anything transferred to the Zumo XT is transferred to internal storage rather than to the SD card.
Showing a Track and a Route on the same screen is quite straight forward:
You have to click the spanner tool when the list of tracks is displayed, and then choose import.
This reveals the list of tracks on the SD card that are available.
Load the Track.
Either of these:-
Then:
Select the track you wish to display. Ignore the GO! button.
Click the Spanner icon, top left.
Three menu options of interest are shown in the Pic1 on the right.
Load your route in the normal way.
Navigating with a Route AND a Track Loaded
The screen images below show the magenta route at the points where it deviates from the original. The original route is marked by the red track. When the track was created, it followed exactly the same course as the Magenta Route. At some point, the route has been recalculated.
Pic 3 shows the magenta route has been recalculated to turn right. The red track is revealed to show where the original route was plotted.
Pic 4 shows the magenta route rejoining the original track. You have the option of following the red track (and ignore the satnav’s complaints) or the magenta route.
The chances are that as soon as you fail to turn right, (Pic 3) the XT will recalculate a route identical to the red track
