Re: Different route data etc

We used to tour with 3 Garmin's in Europe. One of the points that killed the annual event was arguments over which way to go. One point had to be introduced. The Leader ; leads, and ONLY gets suggestions if he/she asks. We tried everything with the Garmin’s but could not get two identical units to d...

Speed Camera Warning After Market

I can't get on with the Garmin Speed Camera warnings. It is the same sound as the speed change warning. I use Pocket GPS worlds after market downloads. On the 550/690 and 590 you could set POI in the excel file to ping only once. You changed the @ to a - But it does not work now. Any pointers or can...

Re: BMW Nav vs Garmin decode part numbers

Thanks Stu, My objective would be what BMW cradle would run what Garmin. When I was in Italy I ran my 660 on a GS 1200 cradle ** . No jog wheel but was OK. My issue is that loading an SD card with my routes onto a hire unit can be hit and miss. In Portugal it took forever to load. ** It did work unt...

BMW Nav vs Garmin decode part numbers

This is what I think;

BMW IV = Zumo 660
BMW V = Zumo 590/95
BMW VI = Zumo XT

I intend to hire one on holiday. I know that Jog weel on GS will not work if I use Garmin

Corrections or confirmation welcome

Hi mlheck, It may not be much use to you but I am running the identical set up S20 +XT + Cardo and have no issues. Re: waypoints not being voiced through my xt

Right click on the route in basecamp and select open. You shall see a list of all your waypoints. All routes except start and fininsh can then be right clicked and set to alert on arival or don't alert.

Re: Smartphone Notifications

Most phones under 3 years iold have 2 bluetooth channels, you have to go into settingsa and sometimes developers settigns to enable.

Once runnin doe the text message come up on the XT or does it just say you have a test?
