Re: Road Tech 665 with XM
When I bought my 665LM several years ago I had the same problem. XM told me it wouldn't work and I should call Garmin. Garmin told me it would work and I needed to talk to XM. I finally told Garmin someone had to do something about this since I was being told basically it's not my fault call the ...

Re: Zumo 665 problem
Due to the 665 being obsolete there is nothing they can do to fix or replace it. I'm surprised that they said it can't be fixed. I got my 665LM repaired about two months ago for a flat rate of $159. For some reason they don't offer a repair service for the 665 (without lifetime maps) but do for the ...

Re: 12 volt accessory plug - need some parts for my Zumo 550 cord
The cable description that I read has the following statement.
"Input: 12v - 24v, Output: 5v 1A (+/- .5v)"
That would indicate that the voltage reduction is in the cable.

Why does it have to be OEM? I'd just buy one that is for the 550.

Re: 12 volt accessory plug - need some parts for my Zumo 550 cord
I just did a quick check on Amazon. You can buy a new 12 volt accessory cord for your Zumo 550 for about $10 and be sure it is the right one.

Re: 12 volt accessory plug - need some parts for my Zumo 550 cord
Before you buy a standard plug you need to make sure that there is no voltage regulator in the original plug. I don't know if the Zumo is actually 12 volts. It may have a voltage reducing circuit built into the accessory plug.

I've never heard of GVIM. Where can I get it?
