Re: Zumo XT - Software Update ??

Just happened to have a look at some old tracklogs created by my Zumo 220. They had similar spikes! The 220 never had strange routing behaviour. (As far as I remember)
What i'm trying to say: The spikes can be a symptom, but unlikely the cause of weird routing.

Re: screen capture images - where stored/access?

Assuming you're using Windows:
Connect the XT to your computer via USB.
Wait for the Zumo to appear in 'This PC'
You can find the files in: This PC\zūmo XT\Internal Storage\Screenshot

Re: Does anybody know the margin for 'hitting' a Via point?

Hi John. Exactly this behaviour I was trying to avoid by using RtwTool. https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1868 Also keep in mind our Subclass findings when it comes to renaming shaping/via points. I've written a small program myself for personal use to deal with these issues. I'm not ...

Re: Zumo XT - Software Update

Hi John, I can confirm that there was an update to Garmin Express (7.15.1.0) that I installed a few minutes ago. After connecting the XT it ONLY reports the Cyclops update, nothing else. And my unit was, and still is, on 6.50 Now a daunting assumption: You have been reporting strange routing behavio...

Re: Query - Arriving at the Start Point of a Route

Never had this issue, or at least I did not notice. Recently I tested the 'margin', based on that test I found that it was at least 30 Meters, 100 feet. see: https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1998&start=10 If the problem is with the GPS signal of your unit, it's 'way off'. Good lu...

Re: Does anybody know the margin for 'hitting' a Via point?

Had a quick look at the diagnostic pages. As expected, couldn't find the settings mentioned.
Will do another test, in time...

Re: Dowloading tracks from XT to PC with Explore enabled

For me there is one deciding factor to use Basecamp. It has exactly the same map as the XT. Other programs, like MyRoute, also have the Here maps, but it's not guaranteed to have the same version as on the XT.

Re: Does anybody know the margin for 'hitting' a Via point?

This morning I did some testing. My conclusion, based on these basic tests, is that the margin is at least 30 meters. That is approximately 100 feet. I did not encounter any problem, so to find out when it goes wrong I should repeat these test with a greater margin. But for now i'm happy with the re...

Thank you so far for your replies. I will do some testing myself and post the results.
