Re: Powered baseplate question

Okay. I know all 2 of you were waiting with bated breath. Hooked it up today. It was attached with the correct orientation. Thank you, thank you, please hold your applause.

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

scrider, I did think of an idea, but I'd rather not hijack this thread any further and confuse the original topic. If you want to start your own thread/topic I'd be glad to post it for you. Thanks... but, now that I have at least a more definitive answer, I'll just be patient and wait. (Though you ...

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Because Express (and MapUpdater before it) were for installing maps, and they can't simply create the files necessary from your installed map. Plus of course BaseCamp unlike Mapsource will read the map from your device. I understand what you're saying, however, it would be simple enough upon first ...

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Express won't show your original map, you'll only get the options in Express when the next and subsequent maps are released. Thank you for verifying this. I've been trying to get a definitive answer. It's kind of silly you can't download the original map the first time around, not sure why Garmin ...

Re: How to put maps onto your PC

Not to hijack this thread to a MAC thread, but I have a quick question that perhaps you more experienced user can answer. So I have a new Zumo 596 with the North America map. When I connect to Garmin Express, it does not show the maps I have and in turn, I don't get the option of transferring my map ...

Re: 590 starts music on iPhone as soon as connected (BT)

Again, it's the apple/orange comparison, but I stop playback as well with the car, but it still starts the music up the next time around. So no, it's not just you. :D

Re: 590 starts music on iPhone as soon as connected (BT)

I have an apples to oranges comparison. The music on my phone starts playing when I get in my work vehicle that I have Bluetooth connection to. It automatically connects to the phone when I start it up and the phone will go ahead and start playing from my phone based music playlist. This only ...

I'm guessing you mean the actual unit.

Re: Powered baseplate question

I would agree, but the notch in the actual unit is dead center between the contact points, whereas the "ridge" on the plate is not quite centered. Hence my questioning of myself. When I go to attach it, it's not possible to actually see if the contact points line up. Once my bike is back, I guess I ...

Powered baseplate question

Received my 396 yesterday, which has the same powered baseplate as the 395. I have a question, though. The manual for both models shows how to slide the connector into the baseplate. What they don't show, however, is the orientation of pins. They appear just off center from the middle of its own ...
