Re: Next action/turn distance is not showing
Thanks for the suggestion, but the 3D image I showed is not from my screen but rather from the Garmin XT manual. I used this to show the items that are missing from my screen. I always display in 2D, so unfortunately that is not the reason it's malfunctioning. Here's a screenshot of my unit. Note ...

Re: Next action/turn distance is not showing
I am now having the same problem since a recent update. I'm not sure if it was an update to the firmware (6.50) or the last map (CN North America NT 2023.10) that caused it. The upper green text bar no longer shows the next action in the route, 1 in the image below, or distance to the next action in ...

Re: New Firmware for Zumo XT
I just updated my XT and everything seems to be working properly, including the three dots in the lower right corner in map mode.

Re: 12 days on the road with MyRoute-App and Zumo XT
I also use MRA for some route planning. Its HERE map is apparently the same as Garmin's so it results in fewer, if any, improperly positioned waypoints if they're correct in MRA. As was stated it does not recognized via points as being any different from shaping points if you transfer the gpx 1.1 ...

Re: Basecamp routing errors
Good point. I'll remember this is the future.

Re: Basecamp routing errors
The route that Basecamp used for this route was produced in Calimoto, and was not manually entered by me. I never put a waypoint at an intersection, but instead use a point 100 feet down the road, as recommended by jfheath in one of his excellent posts on routing with Basecamp. I normally use ...

Basecamp routing errors
I wonder if others are seeing small routing errors in Basecamp when it routes a trip. On my last ride I saw many instances where the XT said turn left when it clearly was a right turn or do a U-turn before turning in the desired direction. Upon close examination of the route created by Basecamp ...

Re: Update 6.30 messes up routes
On a recent ride my XT all of a sudden reported several road closures and displayed a spider's web of recalculated routes. It made no sense as I was on lightly travelled country roads. I ignored the recalculation, which was a mess of criss-crossing lines, and found that the roads were not closed ...

Re: GPX Files to XT?
Thanks, auke54. I'll give that a go. I didn't like the way Explore worked anyway.

Re: GPX Files to XT?
I wondered what happened to my route shaping points. I've tried using Explore to import various winding road routes from Calimoto, Myroute, Rever and Basecamp to no avail. They all ended up just routing me directly to the end point a hundred meters from the start point. This make Explore unusable ...
