Tried this 3 years later, but it didnt work, disconnecting explore, which I don't recall ever connecting. Still no option to show or hide tracks on zumo xt. There used to be. Weird. Guess I'll have to use explore, very confusing all these various Garmin apps. I have drive as well but not sure what ...

LIke someone said above, it should be in your Settings. From home page (before Viewing map) Click Settings, Map & Vehicle, scroll down to mymaps, and deselect it. At least on mine.

I am not sure about in the UK but my maps that came on the unit here in the US show the dirt roads on the computer using base camp, as double dashed lines, but not on the XT unit itself, which is weird and a major bug I think. My old 60CS showed them as dirt. I found no way to change them to dashed ...
