oh WOW Ikraus, I am really dumb
I didn't have my microSD card all the way into the slot holder
I reset the card again and pushed it closed and bingo, those gpx files on the Card show up for Import
thanks a bunch, now I feel dumb lol
hi Ikraus, thanks here is what i did, on my PC, I used file explorer to delete all those 4 gpx files from 396 Internal Storage then disconnecting zumo from PC, and going into 396 Trip Planner, all those routes are gone now thanks but now I forget how to do the Import of gpx files that's on the SD ...
My 396 shows the routes that I had created on Basecamp available for Import when I'm on the 396 Trip Planner I Exported those route files from Basecamp to the 396 SD Card using the file explorer copy/paste method but now I just don't know how to get rid of them from Trip Planner Import list I don't ...
SUCCESS, the Zumo 396 is now on a switched circuit and no parasite draw anymore, (like when I had 396 connected to battery Accessory leads the last time). All is working great. I posi-tap connected the 396 (+) power cable wire with that switched blue running light circuit wire in the headlight ...
Until you get it sorted, just remove the Zumo from the cradle. Be aware that an extra 2A on a headlight circuit might be enough to overload the fuse or cable capacity. you guys are helpful, thanks, so here is the latest news on my setup. I removed the motorcycle battery and did some google ...
I found a switched blue wire in the headlight bucket, its part of the front running light/tail light circuit, plan to use posi-tap on it, I'll leave the zumo (-) ground cable wire in the ACC ground lead, then cut the zumo (+) positive red cable wire and posi-tap it to that blue wire, hope it works ok
I installed the Zumo 396 cradle mount to my Kawasaki 800 handlebars and ran the power cable to an always ON Accessory lead in the headlight bucket, that ACC lead is on a 10A fuse in the fuse box under the seat. But I have a high parasitic draw on that ACC 10 fuse, so when I removed that ACC 10 amp ...
You helped me a lot Ikraus, especially with your comment about reverse polarity, your comment sent me on a search to learn what it is and I checked my test clamps and bingo, problem solved, so thanks
RESOLVED MY PROBLEM well, it was a reverse polarity, and I ditched using the battery clamps I was using, and connected zumo cradle power cable directly to the battery posts, and guess what, the 396 powered on, success, I believe the testing I had been doing with the battery clamps was the problem ...
