Despite my few issues, I love the XT more than any other Garmin product I have owned, although my Garmin descent Mk2i dive watch is also exceedingly good!!

I have the exact same issue, but I have no idea what ID3 is that you mention? Could you explain so I can try and fix my issue. You are correct.. that is the old power lead and a new cradle..

thanks guys, i installed the power lead following the garmin instructions, so I think i have it correctly. it looks exactly like the pictures above.. But I was thinking of putting something behind the adapter to make the pins stick out a little further in case the issue is that they are not reaching...
