Re: Combined BC Map and Dialogue table.
What's a "route dialogue table", and what does it look like? These are foreign terms to me. It is the table/box that contains all the Route points; Via/Shaping/Start and End, with interval distances, times etc. ‘Dialogue boxes’ in computer speak are secondary boxes that can stay open in the bac ...

Re: Old Routes
Deleting routes in the Trip Planner deletes them from internal memory and has no effect on Favorites. If the routes were placed on the SD card, the will have to be deleted from there as well. I connect my XT to my laptop and do this with Base Camp, it's easy enough that way. Others remove the card ...

Re: Deleted Routes Reappearing
I equate this "phenomena" to the technology. I take a pic on my phone. Withing 30 seconds it's on my computer and my tablet. If I delete it from those 2 it just comes right back. It never goes away. Welcome to the cloud.

Re: Garmin - Updates over Wifi not working?
Have you rebooted your router? When my tv stops working, nothing else will reestablish the connection. And yes, other devices in the house still have comms with the wifi at the time, just the tv stops. Rebooting the tv does nothing, only the router.

Re: Interference / Fault / Something Else??
The only reason for having wifi is if you want to let it download maps and system updates automatically. Presumably it uploads your riding history as well - if you have given permission in the app. Personally, I'd rather it didn't automatically download the day before I was going on a long tour. I ...

Re: Making changes to a BC route on a Zumo XT
I used to think that too but my method of single point insertion is very reliable. I do it all the time to get to a petrol station or some eats. The route modifies to include the new point then goes right back to my original route without change. To paraphrase what a wise man once told me, "if your ...

Re: Making changes to a BC route on a Zumo XT
I have never had any difficulty inserting a point into an active route. To me, this is one of the simplest things to do yet so many people seem to have trouble with it. I think it's because I do NOT use the Shape tool. Here's what I do: With a route active, that is I am following a route on the XT ...
