Re: 2024.1 maps cannot be authenticated

As long as you are careful you can load most of the maps you want, in one Mapinstall loading, then add the missing parts after, best to select an appropriate i.e straight dividing line on the map say somewhere south of Denmark, then add the Scandinavian countries later, double check the highlighted ...

Re: XT not flagging closed roads

That would depend on how you constructed the route and if waypoints etc could be included in the recalculation, but you can of course always view
the route by touching the map screen, then by touching the icon with the waypoint/destination flags on the curvy road (upper left, sort of)

Re: XT not flagging closed roads

From the XT manual. Taking a Detour You can take a detour for a specified distance along your route or detour around specific roads. This is useful if you encounter construction zones, closed roads, or poor road conditions. From the map, select Menu > Edit Route. /(This means touch the three black ...

Re: XT not flagging closed roads

For me, the most important thing is what the XT does when you reach a closed road, as far as I am aware, you cannot tell the unit that the road is closed. The woeful diversion button, located deep within the menus acts as though you can fly, though in truth Garmin have never mastered this aspect of ...
