Re: Zumo XT music artwork

Just to add, I’m creating routes on Google my maps and then exporting as .KMZ which, as I said, is hit or miss whether Basecamp takes it. Nothing fancy with loads of waypoints, just A to B and dragging the route on the roads I want to travel.

Re: Zumo XT music artwork

The XT was a present (for which I am grateful, going on a 2k trip this year). I agree, Birdseye is pretty pointless but my point was why does it take 30 minutes for 300mb? To be honest, I’m not gelling with it because it definitely is not intuitive and I’m sorry but Basecamp is just awful. Sometimes ...

Re: Zumo XT music artwork

Figured it out. The album art ID3 tags of the music files should be .jpg format (.png doesn't work). It’s extremely long winded to change every song with an ID3 editor. I have to say I’m not that impressed with the XT or Garmin in general. You’re better off asking your 90 year old gran than Garmin se ...

Re: Latest XT Motorbike Lockable Mount options

hi Guys How does the Zumo lock work e.g. Does it lock the mount release button or does it just stop access to the ram mount. Might be me but I cant tell from the pictures. As stated in the earlier post I have the Tourtech locking mount but its very shaky when riding. It swings a tab out under the ...

Zumo XT music artwork

I can’t seem to get the artwork on the SD card to display. If I Spotify from the phone it’s fine (but can’t browse music) but any mp3 saved on the nav doesn’t display artwork despite it appearing to be attached to the file. Can someone please tell me what Im doing wrong? The Garmin support site is ab ...

Re: XT locking device

I agree with you Richard. Internet gossip gains traction and somehow becomes fact despite the lack of evidence. I don’t doubt that the standard mount is secure enough, wouldn’t be good PR for Garmin if they didn’t rigorously test it before offering to the general public. I’m looking for something to ...

Re: XT locking device

Hadn’t seen the Wunderlich before and they usually make pretty good stuff but that looks the easiest to defeat by far. Full access to the barrel nut and locking tab nut means that would literally last less than a minute. I’m surprised they didn’t cover the barrel otherwise I’d have definitely gone fo ...

Re: XT locking device

Thanks guys, I did see that but none of those guys actually have a Zumolock, which is what I’m enquiring about. I keep reading how flimsy people think the standard XT mount is but I think that’s unwarranted. I haven’t found a single instance online where the XT has fallen off its mount during riding. ...

XT locking device

All I can find is the Zumolock or the Touratech cradle. General consensus is that the Touratech unit is very secure but it’s quite bulky. The Zumolock on the other hand adds almost no bulk to the mount and is very clean looking. I see a few people online selling the Zumolock in favour of the TT but i ...

Re: Temperature units

Cracked it!

Thanks for all your help. I thought the language selection was giving you the locale. Mine was set to Argentina.
