I had this problem when I first bought my XT about 8 months ago, I thought great, what a waste of money. What I did was completely uninstall GE and then re-downloaded (is that a word) it, then it worked as it should. This worked for me. BTW I use a Mac

please excuse my ignorance on this, but why does one need to see it as a volume, is GE just for updating etc. as I've written before, mine shows up on my Mac quicker than the dreaded NAV Vi ever did.

The alerting WP is after the coffee stop.
