I just tried this on my MacBook Pro. Like you I cannot switch back from the hand to the route. I typically stay in the “Create Route Tool” and just zoom in and out to move around. Wish there was a better way.

All of the GPS navigation units that I have owned, just not the Zumo XT record a current and archive gpx file. From the file all speed and elevations and location as well as time date stamp are recorded. My dash cam on my on my bike records not only video and gps location and speed, data etc.. This ...

@sussamb They have been there for a while so I am really not sure how the ended up there, Most likely from Basecamp when I first got the XT. I use a Mac Book Pro so things aren't always straight forward. But I did get them deleted using AFT.

Thanks. That is the way I too have don it in the past. It would be nice if there was an easy button. But then Google maps doesn't do it either.
