Offroad routes

Can the XT navigate off road routes?

I want to navigate the Trans European Trail (TET) on motorcycle, the website/app provide gpx files,

https://transeurotrail.org/

Can I get topographic mapping on the XT to navigate these files?

What are the capabilities of the XT using it in this way?

Is basecamp still a thing?

I havent used my XT in a long time.

Can someone remind me of the programme that is used on a PC to enable route planning.

Is it still base camp or has this been replaced?

Re: Why do you use a dedicated sat-nav

I purchased an XT as a result of attempting a trip using Google Maps on my phone and finding it useless whenever I lost cell coverage. I tour long distance and prefer roads less travelled so riding in cell coverage holes is common. My phone is a backup when there is coverage but I always have paper...

Why do you use a dedicated sat-nav

I have just purchased a Zumo XT after having a few issues with a Zumo 390. My reason for a new sat-nav instead of using my Android smartphone and Google maps is an overseas motorcycle trip that has a fair bit of planning involved and didnt want to be reliant on one system so I have planned out all t...

Re: Xt beginner

Note too that the map on your PC will be the full map, and not split in 2 like on your device. That is only necessary due to the fact that the FAT32 format used is limited to file sizes of up to 4Gb , and both the EU and NA maps are over 4Gb so have to be split in 2. So thats the reason, I was wond...

Xt beginner

Just purchased the Zumo XT and have just switched it on and updated system and maps via wi-fi. Couple of initial questions I would like to ask the board... I noticed that the European map cover is split into two maps, North Europe and South Europe, does the XT switch between maps automatically based...
