Re: A question about roadworks

Thank you for your reply. The road must have been reported as closed as my mates Tomtom knew the road was closed. On my XT there was no road closure shown the route just went straight through the closed road. So I followed the Diversion signs until they disappeared and abandoned us. I just abandoned...

Re: A question about roadworks

I suppose the only other option would be that when you come to a closed road would be to stop and edit route to avoid the next 1 mile 2 miles etc. But that seems a bit of a faff. Especially as Tomtom just gets on with it, routes you around the road closure and gets you back on route. Apart from this...

Re: A question about roadworks

I have checked, it was set to On Request, however when I encountered the closed road it did not give me an option to avoid. I have now changed it to Automatic.
Any other advice will be gratefully received.

A question about roadworks

Good morning Peeps A question about roadworks and the XT's behaviour. I have just got back from a trip to France, on one of the routes there was a road closure. The XT did not recognise that the road was closed and wanted me to go through the closed road. In contrast a couple of friends had the Tomt...

Re: Waypoint Names Missing in MRA Generated Routes

You will get the "Area" name if the waypoint is not exactly on a road with Here Maps. So if you use Google maps you need to switch to Here maps to make sure it is on a road recognised by Here.

Re: Zumo XT SD card use

The file structure on the SD card is very important you must have a folder called Garmin (case sensitive) and within that folder another folder called GPX (again case sensitive) you then drop your route files into the GPX folder.
