There is a time lag in traffic information, there may have been a jam and it had cleared before you got there.

Just an idea but sometimes the XT thinks roads are blocked when they are not.

I updated mine yesterday via WiFi and it was trouble free, maybe WiFi is the way to go and not via PC or Laptop.

Auto zoom is relevant to speed when you are going faster it zooms out a bit and when slower zooms in but when zoomed out it doesn't show the whole route. I am not sure if you can set the zoom levels, other may know.

We all travel in circles, you go out for however long and you always end up back home, it's the way of the world.

I think after 11 years you have probably had more than your monies worth out of it. Time to unlock the wallet

With the XT connected to your phone go into bluetooth settings on the phone select the XT and disable the features from there.
