I guess you could but I don't have that many friends and even fewer have ZUMO XTs. Might just be easier to roll back to the 7.23 version of Garmin Express.

It will not function as you desire if you don't power it via the connection cable they provide. If you choose to power by USB it will not track or "realize" that it is in the motorcycle mount, and won't track the fuel tank info. Others may have better insight into the differences between "Skip" vs "Recalculate". If I were to guess there is likely distinction between the two.

The "recalculate" option should take you to the closest entry point back to your route. It shouldn't redo your entire route, just until you can get back to it. MotoTomCC I think you are bypassing an opportunity here. BaseCamp (while not the most intuitive software on the planet) is not overly cumbersome.
