Black Dots on BaseCamp Map

What are the black spots on the basecamp maps that are all over the place? They are not part of my route of track.

I can take a screenshot maybe later.

Re: Planned distance not making sense

I got my XT back, it did connect (after several tries) to Garmin Explore and able to download the maps to Basecamp. However after that it would not connect again. I have installed the Android Open TMP (I think), but have not had time to experience more. For now the routes/tracks/WP were uploaded via...

To which I replied that i was using a mac, but they already packed the unit and prepared it for sending, so perhaps I could get a windows pc, perhaps?? Customer service is as good as their connect...

Re: Planned distance not making sense

I am using the Garmin cable, no other cable I have has the connection that Garmin uses on the XT. I ordered a new macbook air, due next week, so I cam experiment a bit more with the XT. I send a note to Garmin and they are going to exchange my XT for a replacement one, should be here next week. See ...

Re: Planned distance not making sense

The problem with base camp is that it needs to connect to the Zumo XT to upload the maps. And it won't connect, therefore no planning possible!!

Any body can explain how I can get Explore to make a route between two or more waypoints?

Re: Planned distance not making sense

to be honest, the whole experience with the Zumo XT is sh!tty Spend 500eur on a unit and there is no way you can do decent route planning because the sh!tty software either on the unit itself or provided by Garmin doesn't work. Importing tracks from other systems is marginal at best. This whole expe...

Re: Planned distance not making sense

In the mean time I have found a way to modify the exported file via another system to Garmin GPX, which seems to also have resolved the problem! via this website: https://gpxshaping.de/GPX/GpxShaping.html The distances now make sense, and importing into Explore using routes rather than tracks (too m...
