Re: Leave the Road
The route points look fine. Was the route navigating normally up until it misbehaved on US-27? I ask because your starting point was a hotel, or more specifically, what appears to be where the hotel lobby entrance is. It is unlikely that your satnav got close enough to that point to have considered ...

Leave the Road
I just made a trip to the Florida Panhandle. The first day was ok except for the rain. Second day was sort of OK except I got directed onto a paved road that turned to dirt but that is not my main issue (although it is a big thing). I was traveling North on US 27 in Alabama. My route had four points ...

Re: Basecamp No Longer Makes a "Route" Just. A Straight Line
Yes I believe they are re-calculated on my 660 and 665. And the maps on the 665 are limited by the memory (or so Garmin says). So, th3 665 is stuck a few years back.
I will keep an eye on the routes on the 660 and 665.

Re: Basecamp No Longer Makes a "Route" Just. A Straight Line
All good information and thanks. I used Microsoft Sheets and Trips until early last year when I bought the new Zumo 595. Basecamp was on my computer but never used it. Having to use the 595 required me to learn Basecamp. I am still learning. I think I have six or seven maps installed. I kept them in ...

Re: Basecamp No Longer Makes a "Route" Just. A Straight Line
I checked that by accident. But, I don't know how the "Global" maps got selected.

Re: Basecamp No Longer Makes a "Route" Just. A Straight Line
After doing some research on line, I found a similar issue. They suggested that the maps selected in Basecamp were not appropriate. I checked my map selection. It was "Global Maps". (whatever that is). So, I selected the most recent Garmin Map 26.01. Nothing changed. then I added a new waypoint and ...

Basecamp No Longer Makes a "Route" Just. A Straight Line
OK... this is really, really infuriating. I must have done a wrong selection on something but now if I start a new route and add a start and then and end point, when I close I get a straight line. Re: ZUMO 660 SD Card File Transfer & Update (16GB to 32GB)
The SD Card was not formatted in FAT32. I assumed it was. I reformatted the disk to FAT32 and it works. Next step will be to see if I can do the same thing with my 665. I have not updated the Maps yet to 2026.10. I want to make sure the 32GB disk works like it should. So far all indications are that ...

Re: ZUMO 660 SD Card File Transfer & Update (16GB to 32GB)
I can't tell from your post whether you were able to confirm that the 660 read anything off the SD card. If you weren't, then I would check the formatting of the card. Garmin requires the card be formatted with a FAT32 file system but most new cards are formatted with an exFAT file system. Format ...
