Re: CN EU 2021.20 NT

Tried updating again, and this time I get the Basecamp map update, but can't unlock it. Looking at unlock / manage map elements, or whatever the option is, all I get shown is a long list of ...not installed...map segments, so no select options. Is this another Garmin 'glitch' that I need to wait for ...

Re: CN EU 2021.20 NT

Zumo 660 UK & Europe, lifetime updates. Selected UK and Ireland, and install to device & computer. 660 is updated to 2021.2, but "an error occurred...." and Basecamp is still on 2021.1. Now Express fails to install map to computer leaving incompatible maps, which doesn't usually work for reliable ...

Re: CN Europe NT 2020.2

Thanks jfheath. Managed to get Basecamp updated running Express as admin (something I never even give thought to usually) I do also think Garmin may have been tweaking at their end, because running everything as default, Express got to 44.8% and 'updating maps' before failing, whereas originally I ...

Re: CN Europe NT 2020.2

Thanks for the reply. I've tried redirecting the maps already, but there are no maps being downloaded. All Express seems to download is a (150Mb or so, if I recall) small .cab1 file in the 'coreservice' folder instead of the temp map files of 7Gb or so. I will try running as admin, but, having had ...

Re: CN Europe NT 2020.2

Alan, yes, but the only update is to the 'device' not the computer. Now the 660 is updated, I've also tried to install to computer, but again get an error and no update to Basecamp maps. The last update from Garmin (2020.1) behaved exactly the same, until Garmin fixed a bug. For info I've had ...

Re: CN Europe NT 2020.2

Seems to act just the same as the original 2020.1 on my laptops, unfortunately. That is, I can (and have) updated my Zumo 660 without issue, but neither of my Basecamp versions, (Win 7, or Win 10) on my laptops, update. The only way to use the 2020.2 maps, is to have the 660 plugged in to the ...

Re: NT2020.1

On my Win 7 laptop, I've just uninstalled express 6.15.0 and reinstalled an older version (6.3.0) unfortunately, on startup, express wanted to update to 6.15.0 and wouldn't let me continue without doing. Needless to say, the result was the same, no maps on computer. It was worth a try though, and ...

Re: NT2020.1

That actually makes me feel better. :-)

Maybe I'll leave it for a few days then, it's worked in the past with updating issues on first release.
If I NEED a route, it should work with the 660 plugged in, but it's not ideal.

Thanks

Re: NT2020.1

Anybody successfully managed to install this update to BOTH sat nav AND pc? I have a Zumo 660, and two windows pcs, one running Win7, the other Win10. After a couple of hiccups I managed to update the 660 to Europe NT 2020.1, and, having selected "install to device and computer", I was surprised to ...
