Re: Opening a route takes a very long time

I'm beginning not to care what great experiences others have had with the XT2 and what's supposed to work with it. Even if Basecamp doesn't have all the functions of the newer XT2, it doesn't mean that the XT2 can't always or reliably process GPX files. It was only at the weekend that I experienced ...

Re: Tread Changes Exisiting Routes - Shaping Point Issues

I have already written it in another thread, here again, because my experience / reconstruction of the problem fits better here. The Tread APP changes planned points! I have a small example: 1st. Route and track from Basecamp. 2nd. Without Zumo XT2 only imported into the Tread app. 3rd. 1st result: ...

Re: Poll : Curious about the Zumo XT2 ? Read on....

Well observed, unfortunately :-( The Tread APP changes planned points! I have a small example: 1st. Route and track from Basecamp. 2nd. Without Zumo XT2 only imported into the Tread app. 3rd. 1st result: The sharpening points are changed and moved after the import into the In Tread App. 4th. Attempt...

Re: Garmin Listened!!!!

It's really frustrating. The interaction between also the newer Tread app 2.08.29 and newer XT2 Firmware 4.60 destroys routes :-( :( :( Not always, most of it stays ok, but most of it is not enough, I just want to trust an app. I can't understand why it's so hard for the app to just leave points as ...

Re: Zumo xt2 screen unresponsive

I'm getting my third XT2 this week.
Hopefully the touch problems will be fixed on the new one.

I heard that the problem is known at Garmin and has been fixed in newer devices. What I don't know is from which batch or serial number it should be fixed.

Re: Garmin Listened!!!!

It also looks that tread app doesn't fuck with the routes from Basecamp and Kurviger anymore :-) I enabled sync again, and test loaded 1 BC route and 2 Kurviger routes, the routes stay the same even after sync with tread-app, no replacements of via or waypoints what I can see, in simulation-mode. H...

Re: Zumo xt2 screen unresponsive

I hope Garmin is aware of the significance for the affected users and works hard to research the cause and fix it. Then I hope that Garmin also informs us with which batch the problem is fixed. I myself will have to contact Garmin again regarding the unresponsive touch. My 2nd XT2 has not held 500km...

Re: Zumo xt2 screen unresponsive

On a long trip always have a backup nav with the routes on it. Can be an older nav or a phone with an app (like Kurviger), or an older but proven nuvi 1450 of ebay for about $25 a backup nav will probably be necessary. The alternatives have just also so their problems (power supply, mounting bracke...

Re: Opening a route takes a very long time

Can you check the simple way first? - Export the route from BC to your PC/laptop. Connect your nav to the computer via usb cable and move the gpx file to the nav (GPX directory). Disconnect the cable and start the XT2. I have tried the simple ways several times, believe me, I prefer the simple ways...

Missing several profiles for route planning

I miss several profiles for route planning. The Zumo XT 2 knows only one motorcycle profile. Only in route planning you can choose between Fast and Adventure levels. I would wish exemplary: - a profile motorcycle to starting point with highway - a profile motorcycle tour without highway and without ...
