The litigation lawyers would have a field day if anyone ever went across the roundabout without turning! Probably why you don't get an exact turn here message?

Re: Tread - Option not to transfer data

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Somehow I had my tablet sync'd to the XT2 and it made Tread on my phone only to want to synch the audio, which was confusing to start with, and then irritating. I suspect that if you have Tread on a phone and tablet then more than one on will try to update the ...

Tread - Option not to transfer data

I know that you can not have the XT2 and Tread set up not to sync, and so anything in Tread is only there, and vice-versa. Or, you work in Tread and don't switch on the XT2. Sometimes though it would be helpful for me to look at routes / waypoints only in Tread, and them not to be synched across to ...

And that's why I always look at the screen to see that the words agree with what I'll see.

Re: New xt2 ... using mra 1.1gpx problem with routes not importing

Everything that gets hold of your GPX file will want to do its own thing with it. I have witnessed Tread ignoring shaping points and head for the nearest, fastest road. Another shaping point or two usually nails it in place. I now don't use shaping points when using the XT2 and Tread. One less ...

Re: XT Traffic Alerts

Do you want to use the weather etc features as well from the Smartphone Link?

It looks to me that only if you disable the Smartphone Link completely will there be no chance of seeing any traffic alerts.

Nothing posted in here for the last month, so is no news, good news? Or no news, as you've binned the controller?

Re: Making changes to a BC route on a Zumo XT

However, thinking about the Route I modified on the XT and rode, the route was not a good route for a test. The first 40km is motorway, the next 50km is winding road across a range. There are few/nil parallel or alternative roads (none faster), so I expect the XT, try as it might, was limited in ...

Re: Route points: Some non-alerting, some alerting

“especially a petrol station or viewpoint, and if there is, I make it into my own waypoint” but you would need to make sure this Waypoint is moved to the centre of the magenta route, if not already, would you not? I don't normally. Sometimes the points location can be seen to give some silly rou ...
