I'd try to look at the track the GPS says you were doing when the routing became a problem. The 590 etc rubber band themselves to where the road is displayed, so if the road isn't correctly placed then weirdness can occur. i think it's because the XT2 uses the tread app for trip planning and not Basecamp, since Basecamp uses the maps on the computer You can use either the maps on the GPS or those on the computer. Most will use the computers as it's quicker. Personally, I think that it's Garmin being arsey about it ...

Someone on another forum I frequent has had an e-mail from "alerts at notifications.garmin.com" where the "at" should be a "@" and Googling it, it looks to have been around since at least 2023
