Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
Read the previous posts, ditch the Tread App, it's useless. I design initial routes in Myrouteapp then export to Basecamp to fine tune and then place directly on the SD card, some others do it directly from MRA and it will keep to the routes you designed. Tread will do its own thing, it's not worth ...

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
That's interesting - I'll try that next time I run a route - might be a while with the current weather though! The "Skip" option no longer has a dedicated button that I can see on the XT2 but you can go into Edit route and choose to skip there by the look of it - I've not tried doing that but will ...

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
Yep I agree, once you stop using the app it seems to work OK with a few Garmin gremlins still in there. I have found its better not to let it re route if you go off your route too or it can send it into a bit of a tailspin, I tried restarting the route with nearest entry too on one trip and it said ...

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
An Update on my recent 3000 mile trip around Europe using the XT2 with my friend using the 595. Well thanks to Technoguppy suggestion removing the Tread app completely and then re-importing all my routes via the micro SD card I'm happy to report that I had very few problems with my unit - yes it ...

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
Personally I've not tried to create a route on the XT2 as yet and as a fairly new user I've not had to amend a route either but with an imminent trip to the Alps and a strong likelihood of diversions I should be able to give a more accurate answer in a couple of weeks.

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
Yeah it does which is not ideal but for the weather you can use any app on your phone and likewise on traffic if your really need to I guess. Like most of the Garmin apps, this a good idea but not working correctly as yet - with a bit of luck they'll look at it and rectify the problem but i wouldn't ...

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
That's great news and thanks for sharing the update, I'll let you know how we get on in the Alps in a couple of weeks too.
Tread app completely removed from my phone too and I reloaded the maps from Basecamp directly to the SD card in the unit, looked like it imported OK so we'll see

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
Many thanks,
that's it then, Tread is deleted - routes will be uploaded directly from BC - I'll let you all know in a few weeks how the trip went.
This will be interesting because I'm using an XT2 and my buddy still has the 595 - be good to see what it does between the two of them!

Re: ZUMO XT2 CONCLUSIONS
Hi technoguppy - just wanted to ask if deleting the tread app has solved the problem and allowed your XT2 to follow the route you imported? Also how are you importing - are you transferring gpx files from Basecamp directly to your SD card in the XT or directly to the XT? We have a 2500+ mile trip ...

Re: Using custom routes - change routing to off road ???
I agree, it's a real shame because they could be such good units if they just did what you pay for them to do. We tour Europe twice a year leading a group of 15-20 people so it's really important to us for these to work and they just don't seem to have got it right since the 600 series, as you say ...
