Which map to use?
I see the same map repeated three times in BaseCamp (City Navigator North American NT 2025.1). Looking at the map details, one of them is the one installed on the PC and the other two are in some oddly named temporary folder. Depending on which one I pick, a route will be calculated differently, so ...

Re: Mount with USB?
In case anyone is interested, I decided to plug into one of the unused power connectors under the left side fairing.

Mount with USB?
I just bought a new bike (2024 Tracer 9 GT+). It doesn't have a cigarette or Powerlet socket on it, but it does have a USB port. The problem is, the mount that comes with the XT2 has two bare wires, which I've always assumed were intended to be either hard-wired to the bike or have a cigarette or Po...

Re: Bluetooth has me using blue language
What I did with mine to get what I wanted is documented in a pdf here. https://www.zumouserforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2257&hilit=packtalk I think I love you! :D I unpaired everything and followed your instructions. I now appear to have everything working as I want it. I can control playback o...

Bluetooth has me using blue language
I use a Cardo Packtalk Bold as my comm system. I used to use a zumo 550. I paired the Cardo with the 550 and the Cardo with my phone (Android). All good. I could hear route instructions, I could use the phone for music, and I could control the music with the Cardo voice commands. I can't seem to get...

Re: Opening a route takes a very long time
Also there are indications of where the data is stored on the XT2 itself. I'm a retired software engineer, so when I see stuff like that I start to think about how it works. I suspect that when the user taps the IMPORT button it's probably just searching the device file system for any file that has...

Power Question
In the owner's manual it says, When installing the fuse cable, you must connect it to the red system power cable using solder and heat-shrink tubing. I was just planning on using a wire connector, similar to the one shown below. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this would not work just as well? ...

Re: Opening a route takes a very long time
Then select the route and the track, and select the menu option to export as a Gpx file. Save it to your hard drive in a location that is easy to find. ... A couple of other details I felt I should add. When you fire up BaseCamp with the XT2 connected to the computer, you will get this dialog. Just...

Re: Opening a route takes a very long time
Basecamp and XT2 are just not compatible, and that's a fact. Basecamp routes do not work with the XT2, at least not 1:1. These statements are simply not true. I just got my XT2 very recently (to replace my 550) and spent the last two days figuring it out. I planned a four-day trip in BaseCamp (usin...
