Re: Zumo XT doesn't save time information in Tracks?

Follow-up! I took the bike out for a nice 168-mile ride today and brought the zumo XT along. Used the Track Recorder and... it worked properly! The track was saved locally (that is, on the zumo) and when I downloaded it to my iMac via USB, all of the data were present. The route of course, but also ...

Re: No more software updates, as if we ever had any

Seriously? They've already dead-ended the XT? How much different is the XT 2, aside from the screen size? Is it a start-from-scratch new device or just a bigger XT? One would think that the software would be pretty close between the two, like the 660 and 665. I remember getting software updates for ...

Re: Zumo XT doesn't save time information in Tracks?

So many helpful people! (and I mean that seriously – thanks!) For @jfheath – Yes, I did follow that procedure when recording track logs. I'd gotten into the habit on past motorcycle tours I'd taken with my old zumo 660, so I'd always start the day's ride by starting the track recorder, and I'd alw ...

Re: Zumo XT doesn't save time information in Tracks?

I can connect to the zumo XT with a USB cable, but my "recorded" tracks don't appear to be anywhere. At least, nowhere I can find them. I'm on a Mac, so I have to use "Android File Transfer" to mount the zumo XT on my system. I end up with a window that looks like this: Screen Shot 2023-08-20 at 7 ...

Re: Zumo XT doesn't save time information in Tracks?

I had no idea it was so complicated to divorce a zumo XT from Garmin Explore! Lots of long threads about it, and I thank those who documented the process. I think I've successfully disconnected my zumo XT from Garmin Explore. I deleted the Garmin Drive app from my iPhone and powered it down, cleared ...

Re: Zumo XT doesn't save time information in Tracks?

Curiouser and curiouser! I DO have my zumo XT linked to Garmin Explore. I'd forgotten all about Explore until just now. I went to the site and my tracks were there. Interestingly enough they captured my distance and travel time, but "Max. Speed" and "Max. Elevation" were both zero. Screen Shot 2023 ...

Re: Zumo XT doesn't save time information in Tracks?

Thanks for the quick – and exceptionally informative – reply! I knew that the XT saved "Active Tracks" but I was more interested in using "Track Recorder" function so I could control exactly when the recording started and ended. That was always my routine when I used the 660: At the beginning of eac ...

Zumo XT doesn't save time information in Tracks?

Hi, folks – SO glad I found this forum! I used a zumo 660 for many years on my motorcycle trips and was fairly happy with it. But I recently got a pretty good deal on a new zumo XT and decided to make the change. A bit of a learning curve, to be sure, but all in all I'm mostly satisfied with it. I j ...
