Off-Route Calculation question

I set my gps unit to never recalculate. If I get off route (and stray from the magenta line), I can usually find my way back to it all by myself. There have been a couple of instances where I had to manually recalculate the route (like if there was a road closed). Once I am ready to head out for the...

Re: Complex Riding Routes Doubling back

I have the 590 and I do routes like the complicated one (the 2nd one you show). I do them all the time.
It works well. Sometimes while I’m riding I have to zoom out a bit to see the white arrow showing which way to go.

Re: Unmapped Roads and Zumo 590/595/XT

I have put skip on the device menu. I push it once I have passed the via point (that I no longer wish to go to) and she just ignores me. Keeps trying to get me to go back. I don’t know what device update is the latest. I always update though when I have the option. It’s okay. I’ll probably figure it...

Re: Unmapped Roads and Zumo 590/595/XT

My 590 has had trouble skipping via points lately.
She’s being a bitch lately!!
I wonder if it’s a latest update glitch.
I have mine set to NEVER recalculate.

Re: Shaping points enigma

So, just to recap this. Let's say I have two points, my garage where I am starting, and some distant point (plus a number of intermediate shaping points). If I am sitting in front of my garage and I click on "Go!" I will see a screen that asks: "Select Next Destination." It igno...

Re: Shaping points enigma

I didn’t read through all the responses but make sure that your ZUMO says “ready to navigate” before you activate your route.
I have had the same issue and I realized that I just needed to wait until the Zumo has located satellites.

First use issues

For #1 : Can you go into settings and tell it to not recalculate? As far as spontaneous recalculations; I am now learning that I like to create a track of my routes and set the track as visible on my gps so that the route and the track are sandwiched on top of each other. That way I can make sure th...
