My retailer did a straight swap of the unit for one they had in store AFTER Garmin had said nothing wrong with it but I had photo evidence proving otherwise. Retailer said 'I bought it from them, they will deal with it' or words to that effect.

Just a quick follow up to my original post the retailer, J&S Accessories at Uckfield, swapped out my faulty unit for a new one they ordered for their stock. Have done 500-600 miles approx with the new XT2 without any problems whatsoever. Fingers crossed I've now got a good unit 🤞 A big thank you to H ...

Hi David, Sorry to hear you are having the same issues as I did. I am now on my 3rd XT2 unit and it appears to be behaving itself and not ghost pressing buttons or locking up.
