Re: Is this RUT?
I do remember now the XT2 behaving "oddly" after I had used the skip button. It did create a new route after I told it to skip a waypoint, but when I once more deviated from the new route it had recalculated it then started displaying RUT behavior again! As I had already skipped the only w...

Re: Is this RUT?
Planed out 2 short 10-minute routes in BaseCamp with two possible ways to my end destination. I then transferred the data for both of the separately planed routes, (one at a time) to the ZumoXT2 from BaseCamp program on my laptop, to the XT2 unit. I used a direct cable connection for the transfer of...

@jfheath
Thanks' jf. Once again, a top-notch detailed reply to my questions!
Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to set up a scenario along the lines you have advised.
I will definitely get back to this thread and let you know how it went.

Re: Is this RUT?
jfheath Thanks again for sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience with us all! I was reading up on how you commented on how to force RUT situation. "How to force a RUT situation. Chose a route with a section that has two distinct options - eg take 1 side of a triangle or two sides of a ...

Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version
Garmin made out that the new Tread APP was going to be the "Bees Knees" for the new Zumo XT2. Seems that so far, it's as about as useful as a dead Blow Flie floating in a dunny bowl!

Re: Is this RUT?
Created a route firstly using Google "My Maps". I then download the "native" KMZ file that Google My Maps created. I then converted the KMZ file to a GPX file using the "My Geodata Convertor" website. Then downloaded the newly converted GPX file to my windows PC and imp...

Re: How do you change the map theme on an XT2?
Solved it! Have found out how to do it by myself. Gleaned some info from other online websites on how to change the map theme on an XT2 (it's an easy thing to do) Also worked out how to have both the track and the route displayed at the same time on this forum by reading jfheath's excellent "B...

How do you change the map theme on an XT2?
G'Day I'm looking for a way to display both my route and the track at the same time (import via BaseCamp). As far as I can tell this involves changing the map theme on the XT2 itself. I've seen quite a bit of info on how to change the map theme on the XT, but I haven't been able to find instruction...

Re: XT2 vs XT - RUT Testing
Thanks, jfheath.
Fantastic to see that your "RUT" testing of both the XT and the XT2, shows that the XT2 doesn't experience RUT problems,
(If I have read your excellent post correctly)
