What sort of system are you using to run BaseCamp?
Sometimes it can be something as simple, as a "bad" connecting cable between the PC and the XT2.

Re: Sending routes to XT2
I transfer any route from BaseCamp to my Zumo XT2 (Via PC), using the original USB cable it came supplied with. BaseCamp will warn you that it doesn't support the ZUMO XT2 device, but just ignore the warning and you go ahead and transfer the route. I also notice on my Windows 11 laptop, that it take...

XT2 - RUT - Testing in Progress
Looks like a well thought out testing route.
Will be very interesting to see how the XT2 behaves compared to the original XT. Look forward to seeing what hapens.
Thanks again jfheath>

Re: Tread app not syncing to XT2
I easily fixed ALL the problems I had with the Tread App. It was a very simple process. I completely Deleted the App from my iPhone. It's way to glitchy and unreliable! I use Gaia GPX Maps and Base Camp on my Widows PC for all my route planning and then transfer the GPX files directly from the PC to...

Re: Poll : Curious about the Zumo XT2 ? Read on....
Is there a reason that there is an option for a "Straight Line" Route (or segment)?
I can't ever imagine wanting to travel in a straight line, and most times (unless you're a bird) I doubt it would even be possible.

Very new to using my XT2. I see the anacronym "RUT" used a couple of times in the above posts. Could you please tell me what RUT stands for? I'm thinking it might be "Request U-Turn". I'm Looking forward to seeing more of your insights Jfheath into your experiences with the all n...

Re: Tread app not syncing to XT2
Garmin has really dropped the ball with the Tread App connection to a XT2. Nothing but complaints about how unreliable it is. Most reliable way to get your personal routes to work correctly, (from my personal experience and reading other posts) is to use "BaseCamp" to plan the route and th...

Re: Save created "Round Trip".
Anyone know of a way to stop the unit form deleting an in progress round trip, when unit it is temporarily shut off, stopping for fuel, coffee etc. I have an XT. When stopping, it will maintain its route when it is allowed to go to sleep. It wakes up ready to continue on. Turning it off with the po...
