Definitely seems to be some incompatibility issue between your modem at home and the XT2. As you say it can see a ton of other modems near you, and you can connect to your mobile phone via hotspot. If there was something wrong with the XT2 you wouldn't be able to connect to your mobile phone hotspot...

Selecting Map Details, then Options, gives me a choice to Reinstall Map or Install To Computer. If Install To Computer is not shown, Reinstall might count as an update, and won't hurt anything. I have a XT2, so it will be interesting to see if this works on the new XT2.

I'm giving the entire Tread App a very wide berth, until Garmin can hopefully get it to play nice with the XT2. The Tread App seems like nothing but trouble! For the time being I've been using "Gaia GPX Maps" to create an actual route, (on a laptop screen) I then load the routes and tracks...

I must be blind or something as I can't see any option to not synch the data to the tread app from locking at your screen shots.

Garmin has really dropped the ball with the release of the XT2. It's supposed to be used for navigating, but the dam thing can't even read most maps. It's like relying on a ship's navigator Hès good at his job sometimes. But other times he's so pissed that he wouldn't know his ass from his elbow, or...

Where are the official Garmin instructions on this matter? This forum needs a ROFL emoji... We are pretty much on our own. Garmin documentation is abysmal. Same for any app update info (at least for an iPhone) The info provided about the update, is the same useless info over and over again. "T...
