I'm also considering a Zumo 595 for some upcoming travel. It sounds like it would still work great with my existing GPX files for route planning. It's a great idea to keep a record of your trips so you can better remember the good times. I can see you've already done this road trip since your journal contains photos. I'm sure it was a beautiful motorcycle voyage across the Emerald Isle!

For me, transferring routes via the microSD card works well between those programs and the Zumo. The app connections can be iffy at times. Maybe start simple by creating routes on the microSD card and see how that works before overcomplicating things with multiple programs. The basics usually work b...

Maybe you can redo your routes in Basecamp using the 2025 maps and recalculate them. Make sure also that the map and device profiles match up. Worst case, you can always use your phone map too.

If the music volume is very loud, it's possible the music could interfere with the speed alert beep, and the beep tone may get drowned out. I'd try lowering the music volume slightly or turning it off occasionally in flight to verify that the alerts are still functioning properly.
