Re: Now you know...
Ah, that's very clever of them, encouraging people to stay indoors where they don't need GPS signals, mapping, communications, making their own routes/tracks etc, it's all done for you.

Re: XT2 made me laugh
My XT2 said "Turn left in 74 miles", I thought that was a bit premature.
I often give my via points odd/silly names just to see how it pronounces them, helps break up the journey.

Re: Latest XT2/Tread software version
I have done a fresh install of this new version. Today I got to my destination and then 3/4 of the way home it informed me I could connect to my phones music. Bit late.

Re: Zumo XT2 Solutions
AI, GI or MyI. That is the question. How nice it would be if I could sit in the warmth of my home, turn my PC on and plan my routes in comfort and with confidence that what I plan on my PC gets transferred to my SatNav and in turn, it displays the route that I planned. How cool would that be? Thank ...

Re: Zumo XT2 Solutions
For some reason my maps were not available and the route was quickly planned with UKI and yes, more route points certainly would have helped. On the XT2 the route there was OK until the 5th route point (The Plain) where it wanted me to double back and take the Woodside shortcut road to Thornwood ...

Re: Zumo XT2 Solutions
I have followed the above method, making a shopping trip to Harlow and return routes with tracks. On my XT2 the outward journey follows my intended route with 3 detours with obvious faster routes. The return trip moved shaping points as seen by the dark grey tracks position. Calculation mode: Faster ...

Re: Zumo XT2 Solutions
That's a very interesting find thank-you. I guess the next logical question is after your phone has been rebooted and the Tread app isn't initially run and subsequently swiped off the screen.. will any of it work, I'm guessing not. I'm leading a run this morning but in the next days I'll reinstall ...

Re: Zumo XT2 Solutions
Many thanks to you and others for your dedication in finding work-arounds to these issues. I hope Garmin will take note and keep us updated with their progress in updating their softwares and firmwares. Can you elaborate on what you mean by 'swiping Tread off the screen'? Do you mean tap the 3 ...

Re: Is this RUT?
On my Windows PC I always 'eject' the SD card before removing it from the system. I've not seen any way of 'ejecting' it from the XT2 and thus far I have been putting it into sleep mode and removing/replacing it. Doing this I have not been able to get the XT2 to re-read the cards contents and each ...

Re: Is this RUT?
Many thanks, it was the Alternate route that I was after. Having done that the XT2 wouldn't refresh the SD cards contents and insisted on installing what was previously on there in the GPX folder. A reboot just sent it into a reboot loop, then without the SD card in, it booted successfully and ...
