Can we assume that you have the power lead secured in the mount with the tiny screw - quite a few people don't?

Are you using the very latest lead as per this picture?

I am not sure if it is of interest to you, or indeed if you use them, but 'Cyclops' speed cameras can only be updated via Express & not wifi. (don't ask me why!)

A little bit stupid on his part to behave in such an unreliable manner, bearing in mind he advertises on all the navigation forums!

Here in Europe the warranty / guarantee period is 2 years, it sounds like it will be worth spending the time on the phone to speak to Garmin & maybe getting the unit replaced. Interestingly in the UK the unit is not shipped with a charger, just a usb power lead. As others have said an overnight ...

I forgot to mention that here in the UK we have had massive problems with the mail system (Royal Mail) as a result of strikes & industrial action. No idea if he used them or a courier.

Sorry to hear that, I have had dealings with him & he seemed fairly reliable! Interestingly he advertises on all the Facebook XT forums, I would have thought he could not afford to hack people off, as it will impact on his business.

Why not use the traffic data supplied to the XT from Garmin Drive? I have found it to be fairly accurate & some of the detours have saved me a lot of heartache.
