What you describe is what happens when the battery is not fully charged - and it will do this even when connected to a house charger - because the XT takes more power than the charger can typically provide. If using a house charger, the XT needs to be in standby mode and left to charge for 24 hours ...

I reckon that the 590 was the last most reliable and predictable satnav that Garmin have produced. I believe that the 390 was a variation of the 590 ? I may be wrong about that.

Has anyone else reported this problem to Garmin? What solutions have they offered you? The only thing they have told me is to "disable synchronization while this problem is solved." Basically, it's like saying "use cable like in the 90s" lol Not this particular issue - but I have videos and logs ...
