Another way is to have an empty list handy in the same folder in the left hand pane. Click on that to see the map and then click back on the one you are working on.
But 'undo' works well. I use that a lot for all sorts of 'see what happens' experiments.

Gruss rolko/Goldwinger68 Hi and w ...

Re: New problem with XT2
Welcome @Wingider - I have moved this thread to the XT2 forums where it will attract more attention. The original will stay in place for a short while.

Re: Xt and Basecamp Map confusion
I'll look into the storing of waypoints though - what do you mean by 'the definitions of those is actually removed from the GPX file'? If you look at the gpx file before sending it to the XT it contains a number of sections Waypoints <wpt> . . loads of lines . . </wpt> Ditto with routes <rte ...

Re: Xt and Basecamp Map confusion
Glad it is sorted. No need for the PM then ! A couple of things. I noted that your start point is at the hotel. The chance of the satnav being able to get a good enough signal at the hotel is remote - in which case it will not recognise that you have passed through the start point. I would put ...

Re: Xt and Basecamp Map confusion
My XT software is 6.60 I'm almost a neighbour to you jfheath - I'm in Bingley. It's always nice to see roads I know in your very clear and helpful examples on here ;) Sorry - my XT is v6.60 too. I have both XT and XT2 on my desktop connected up since I've been lookin at your issue. I picked up the ...

Re: Xt and Basecamp Map confusion
I've never registered that about the 0 in the maps name before, it was just something that I thought could indicate a conflict. It did make a difference one year. For the lifetime of one generation of maps - 3 or 4 months - every single route would re-calculate and that missing digit was the cause ...

Re: Xt and Basecamp Map confusion
I have 2026.10 installed on Basecamp, my XT2 and my XT1 Your route(s) install and display perfectly OK on all three of my devices (BC, XT1 and XT2). I have seen that repeated flag issue before. It was an issue with the file that caused it - if I remember correctly - which resulted in it thinking ...

Re: XT2 Routes Menu - Icon colours
Just a guess, how the routes were produced? On the XT2, Tread or other? OK - checked that - I'll have to wash my hands now, my XT2 is contaminated with the Tread App. No - I tried routes from tread; routes containing 'Great Roads' which are voted for by users for difficulty and scenery, and routes ...

Re: Introducing TripManager
Question: If I would make the 'including waypoints' when creating tracks optional, would that help you? I dont think it would be a great deal of work for me. I think that would be better - certainly for me. I've still not got round to testing what I wanted to - which was to work out why I had three ...
