Re: Interference / Fault / Something Else??

I'm embarassed to report that some of my other posts on this issue may contain an error. I was talking to someone yesterday about how when connecting my headset for a particualr purpose, trying to connect to another device seems to break the first connection. Yet it has two channels - which I ...

Re: Making changes to a BC route on a Zumo XT

Frankly, thanks in part to the questions posed on this forum, I probably spend more time with the XT at my desk than I do riding. With frequent resets, I doubt the XT has been able to discover any habits. I was returning from an errand and the XT actually avoided the shorter, quicker route it used ...

Re: Making changes to a BC route on a Zumo XT

I've seen my XT (Driving mode, avoiding only U-turns & dirt roads, Faster Time) ignore several routing options with all 45-65 mph roads, in favor of a longer route through a town with congested 25-35 mph streets, more stop signs and a long traffic light. Inspect an XT-calculated route carefully ...

Re: Handlebar Controller for XT2

I was a bit miffed when I discovered that. I turned off auto zoom and I was surprised that I quite like it like that - with an easy facility to zoom in and out without using the screen. Without the controller, I find that certain areas of the screen do not respond very well to a gloved finger. The ...

Re: Interference / Fault / Something Else??

First of all, welcome to the forums, and thanks for your comment. The short answer to this is that I don't know. I haven't got a clue and have no experience trying to use Android Auto on a motorcycle. But I have a thought that might be worth your contemplation. I don't know if this is how it is set ...

Of mice and men ... and headsets.

The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men, Gang aft agley, An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain, For promis'd joy! (Robert Browning) And if he had known about bluetooth, intercoms and headsets, they would have been in there as well. I have a Cardo Headset as do many other riders in the club. My ...

Re: Headset pairing order

Sorry I didn't see this post before. I think with the 396 it will not matter about the order that you pair your devices - BUT The Zumo is designed to work with itself as the hub, and it is well capable of attaching to a number of devices. So - my preferred way of working is to pair the headset first ...

Re: Handlebar Controller for XT2

I kept meaning to come back to this thread - but seem to keep finding other projects. One thing that I did discover on a recent (and first ride actually using the handlebar controller) will answer this question When I select a preprogrammed route, calculating takes long AND..... ZOOM in and ZOOM out ...

Re: XT2 made me laugh

I cannot remember that being an issue with the XT1. Instructions from the satnav cut the music - ie it put it on pause - but not so with the communication rider to pillion. I have Cardo Edge headsets and you can pair the headset to the XT as a phone, second phone, gps or bike I have my XT's paired ...

Re: Goldwing, XT2, Phone (Samsung flip4) , Music, Cardo Freecom4x

Some info that may be relevant. The Cardo Edge manual is no longer correct as regards pairing. In order to pair phone, second phone or GPS the manual says to tap the phone button, once or twice. This doesn't work - I have always rolled the wheel forward or backward. BUT - if you take notice of what ...
