Re: Zumo XT on sale..

I don't think I've ever had a problem when I wander off route. I simply zoom out and work out how to rejoin it.

Mra needs internet.
Thanks. I'd forgotten that.

Re: Transfering routes from PC to Zumo

An alternative while on tour is to plot routes using MRA on a tablet, then Garmin Drive to the XT.

Re: Not loving the car mount

Yes, a useful suggestion. Our cheapskate alternative is to mount the XT on a friction pad and plug it in only once each trip. It then sits comfortably on top of the dashboard when navigating, and out of sight in the passenger footwell otherwise!

Re: Ver. 7.16.0

I used the middle section of your link above to search my Windows 11 PC. It located the following, followed by a long string of digits. C:\Users\All Users\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\Application\Application_Application.express-windows.7.15.2.0\omt\express\windows\7.15.2.0\ C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Cor...

Re: Suggested reading, please

My simple rule is to turn off the XT's recalculation altogether. If I make a wrong turn, or have to detour, I simply zoom out and decide on the best way to rejoin my route. That way I don't have to bother with tracks, just routes.

@Thrasherg I live north of Rennes (Ille et Vilaine), about 25 km from the Mont-Saint-Michel
Nice part of the country. We loved our week in Dinan, hated the crowds on Mont-Saint-Michel, got sunburnt on the Plage de Lourtuais!

Re: Displaying multiple POIs

Is your problem just on the mapping software or in your Zumo as well? Just in Basecamp. In Basecamp there are a number of options in Edit / Options / Display that can change the amount if info that is displayed, including labels and font size. Enlarging the symbols did the job nicely, thanks.
