Re: How near to via point?
Update: According to Garmin Product Support, the answer is ~50 feet, most of the time. See below: However, I question if this is the correct answer because if the coordinates of original waypoint was determined with such accuracy, and the device, my Zumo, is this accurate, one could miss the ...

Re: Load Custom Waypoint/POI Symbols on 595
Sussamb, Thanks so much! I have scoured the www looking for this information. This worked! Also, you have provided me with links to Garmin Support that answer my questions a couple of times. But, I have tired many times to find such info on the Garmin site with no success! Do you have some sort of ...

Re: Load Custom Waypoint/POI Symbols on 595
Sussamb, Can you tell me how to use custom symbols for Custom POIs on the 595? I have tried several methods, none of which has worked, so far. I have used the symbol naming scheme of 001.bmp, 008.bmp, 009.bmp (I later learned that this is the convention for BAseCamp only) and "waypoint name ...

Load Custom Waypoint/POI Symbols on 595
Is it possible to load/use Custom Waypoint or POI Symbols on the zumo 595. The symbols from BaseCamp would be great, if I could find them. Does anyone know if the symbols from BaseCamp can be loaded onto the 595? I have a few thousand POIs that fall into one of six Categories and I would like them ...

Internal Memory access (Mine's nearly FULL)
1: Is it possible to see/access the file/folder structure in the Internal Memory on the 595? It was possible to see the directory on the Montana 680t I had before the z595, but I haven't been able to see the same on the z595. A reason I ask about this is the Internal Memory on my z595 is nearly ...

How near to via point?
Does anyone know how near to a via point one must pass for the 595 to acknowledge that you have "passed through" the via point? I am planning routes for which the via points are almost always off the roadway by a few to several hundred feet. These points are usually in a park or a cemetery or a ...

595 Maximum Number of Custom POI's?
Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere; I couldn't find it. Is there a limit for the number of Custom POI's one can load into the Internal memory of the 595? Or, is this limited by the available memory. I thought I read somewhere that it is limited to 1000 points, but I may be confusing that ...
