Re: Parasitic Draw on the Zumo
I have a 396 mounted on my Airhead BMW. It is permanently wired direct to the battery. I haven't measured the draw of the GPS. I do turn it off by giving it a quick press of the power button, knowing that it is going into sleep mode and not a full shutdown. Still, never had any issue with battery ...

Re: Leave the Road
There are likely other responders that will have more insight. I use a 590 and also have lots of years using Garmin GPS devices.
Could you post a gpx file of the route so that it could be looked at?
Did you look at the route in Basecamp or just on your 595?

Re: "Files Too Large" for update
When calculating a route, if it has to go any distance, it goes to a certain %, usually just above 25, then hangs up. a note eventually pops up say that there's not enough memory to complete the route. The SD card I'm using is an 8 GB, but this sounds more like an internal memory problem. Or is it ...

Re: Express cannot see my SD card
.... if you copy the (.xml) file from zumo internal memory and paste it into the SD card, then put that SD card into a separate card reader then into the computer, MapInstall will see on that SD card the .xml file (map license file to use the garmin maps) and then MapInstall can be used to mouse ...

Re: "Files Too Large" for update
I've finally muddled my way to the point that I'm ready to install the necessary files on to an SD card for a speedy upload. What files do I need to put on the SD card, and which ones do I need to omit/delete? I think we're finally getting there. Many thanks. You must have some kind of SD card ...

I notice that yours shows the 550 is Connected. Mine is Not Connected.
Disconnect the 550 and try again.

Re: "Files Too Large" for update
The "Computer Option" doesn't appear in my version of Garmin's Express, version 7.24.0.0,and that appears to be the latest version. FWIW, I'm running Win 11 ??????? I am running 7.24.0.0 and the Computer Only option is there. I thought that issue only applied to the XT2. Capture.JPG ]

Re: "Files Too Large" for update
Thought I’d ask the collective for a little help since I haven’t really seen a similar question to my issue.. I installed a new formatted 8 gig card and was hoping to load the necessary files using Garmin Express, but it tells me that the device doesn’t have the necessary internal storage If someo ...
