At least your changes are making it to the maps(even if the road work isn't completed yet)
I've got roads around me that were changed almost 10 years ago and the maps are still not updated.....
Every time I go thru the area Garmin thinks I'm in the middle of a corn field and wants to recalculate....

Re: transfering files from internal storage to SD card
I use a 32Gb SD card in my 550, and have loaded the maps to the SD card, not the internal memory. The new maps available are too large for the internal memory for a complete install. I've got 2023.1 installed on my SD card and it's 3.3Gb in size. It is my understanding that SD cards are seen like d...

Re: XT occasionally switches off
I had issues also with my XT, and I tracked it down to the BMW aux power plug that I was using, and rough roads would give it an intermittent connection.

Re: Recalculation of Route after undetected local building site
I had a road closure experience this spring. A mountain road in 1 direction was being resurfaced/replaced from a washout. XT kept wanting me to take a 100 mile detour and wouldn't acknowledge the marked detour. Needles to say, I followed the marked detour and when I got back on the planned route it ...

Re: Zumo XT routing to closed roads
I had a similar, but more the opposite experience. I had a route where the state was rebuilding a section of a roadway. The XT was wanting to re-route me 100 mile out of the way, and kept prompting me to recalc, and turn around. It was confusing as I was continuously meeting traffic, so I figured th...

Re: Faster time vs. Shorter distance
IIRC if you make a change then BaseCamp applies it to all routes automatically. Yes, if you change a profile, all routes that use the changed profile will be recalculated. You will be prompted to update all existing routes, if you say no to the recalculation, the existing routes will be changed to ...
