Re: Can you change the colour of an active track?
I seem to remember someone here had a way to change it, however, it involves some configuration file editing.... not a setting you could change from the screen of the device.

Re: destination out of fuel range, search for gas station. yes or no?
Your track data is most likely still on the XT, however you will need to connect it to a computer/Basecamp to retrieve it. I've noticed on my 2500 mile trip this year that it only kept a limited # of track files in the operations folder(accessible to the screen). As a track is removed from this 'act...

Re: Roundabout not been there 2 years
There's some "out of date" map info around me as well, so don't feel bad. We have an old railroad spur that has been out of service at least 20yrs, and is now a bike trail. I get "school crossing" warning for the local bus storage/maintenance barn, yet I get no notification for o...

Re: ZUMOLOCK?
If anti-theft isn't your main concern, you could attach some form of a tether to the unit.
I've read of others with the same concern.
You could do a search for 'tether' in the search box and it would bring you back about 30 posts to look at and read their comments with pictures.

Re: Zumo 550 Lifetime Updates
I've never done and don't understand the cloning thing. Is that needed if you install to and SD card that's not inserted into the 550 or something? Yes, that is a correct statement.. The basic purpose to do this is for a much faster transfer rate when installing the maps. Other than that, no practi...

Re: Road speed slow to update / Inaccurate
First thing that comes to my mind is where are you riding. Any gps needs a clear open view of the sky to be able to 'see'/satellite signals. If I'm not mistaken any GPS unit needs to be able to see a minimum of 3 satellites to be able to triangulate location/speed data. I know that when I was riding...

Re: Camera warning performance report please
You did know that the XT will receive some camera location data already without paying extra, so long as you have it paired to a smartphone(with mobile data active) running the Garmin Drive app.
I've had notifications for intersection cameras, and I've not signed up for any extra pay services.

Re: How to tell if ZumoXT is fully charged
As with most electronic and internal batteries, it may take a couple of charge/use cycles before the battery reaches it's full potential.

Re: Nubee questions
As far as a laptop for travel, I personally use a Lenovo thinkpad netbook with ssd hard disk. It's fairly light weight and travels fairly well on the bike. Re a microSD for the XT, remember that the XT will only see the Fat32 file system, so what that means, if you get a card larger than 32Gb in siz...

Re: Charging Issue
I'd suggest you check your charging system of your bike. Sounds like your voltage regulator may be not working properly and causing the voltage to rise above the nominal 14.4vdc upper charge voltage level. The electronics of the XT may look at the 5vdc input and respond accordingly. Older devices ar...
