595 route display order

Post by Panman »

When I load route onto my 595 from a file on basecamp, say 001a 002b 003c etc. They don't show in any numerical or alphabetical order just random. They show fine on basecamp. If I load the same file on my 660 they are fine. Any ideas please. Cheers

Not sure what you're asking here? If you're expecting your routes to display in some logical order, for example alphabetical, then they don't.

That's what Garmin handhelds do but not their latest auto units.

Rename each route in BaseCamp. I always use:
yymmddww:destination from start
so they are all alpha sorted.
180821Tu:There from Here
180822We:Back from Forth

Also, does BaseCamp still append to existing TEMP.gpx rather than replace the file?
Try deleting TEMP.gpx from your device [but not on a MAC as you'll get all sorts of trashcan files written by the Mac on your device].
Now load a new file from BaseCamp and you won't have multiple copies of your route.
