Re: Transfering routes from PC to Zumo
I have an iPhone on which there is no "Send to" option that is often referenced when this topic is discussed. I must 'share' with the Drive app. I have done this in two ways:
1. Email myself the GPX file from my PC, access that email with my phone, and then share that attachment with the drive app.
2. I recently tested putting a GPX file on OneDrive, accessing the OneDrive cloud using a browser on the phone, downloading the GPX file to the phone, and then sharing that file with the Drive app. The iPhone to OneDrive access was pretty clunky so no one I will do again but I suspect that it would work better with a more easily accessible cloud source. I am sure I could have used iCloud but accessing it with the PC is not an easy task either.
Note: The Drive app does not have to be active, it will automatically activate, confirming that a GPX file was received and asking if you want to transfer the file to your device. Obviously the XT needs to be bluetooth connected to the phone for that to happen.
