Thanks! I think I tried that before but I will give it another go and let you know how I make out with it.
In case this helps someone....
I'm using MacOS Sonoma on an M1 Macbook Pro and I was having no luck at all getting anything to talk to a Zumo XT2. I tried Android File Transfer, MacDroid, Garmin Express and all of them acted like the device was not even there.
In desperation I rebooted, and it bloody worked. AFT happily recognized it and I could finally load GPX files into it.
(Now I'm wondering if the old Zumo 660 was not broken but perhaps it was the Mac's USB driver. I am not going to check because if it works I'm going to be sad about the time and money I've spent on the XT2.)
