If Express won't install the map correctly try using the clone method explained here

The cloning method looks promising but what do I clone ? The map I have on my PC and the Zumo are the same ? where do I get the full map to clone ? Or the older smaller map to clone ?
Sorry If I'm being a bit slow here. Just to explain I installed Basecamp after the problem started, hence no copy of the full map on my PC.

If you have older versions of the maps on a laptop or PC then Basecamp can install maps from this dataset. You just select the map version and the tiles to upload. Hold the mouse button down and drag the cursor to select multiple tiles. Right click to unselect a tile. It takes ages but I have UK, France & Spain back on my device. If you lack space then I assume you can use an SD card.

@biz - you're joking, aren't you?
I'm coming from a zumo 590 (modded to 595) - this units are not comparable, the zumo XT is way better than the 59x series...
Nope, too much functionality removed for using on my bike. 590>595 does everything I need, perfectly.
XT: no TPMS. no Audio out, so two major shortcomings for many people.

XT is a big backward step. A 595 is better (or a 590 to upgrade to a 595.)
Not keen on the frequency of battery connection problems with the 59x
After the little mod listed here, I have none. Batteries in both mine last for a long time, and as when I'm using it, it's in the cradle on the bike, it wouldn't make much difference anyway.

This MIGHT work if you have
CN Europe on your PC Select all the maps on PC ant transfer to device
Just a thought
I do have the full CN Europe on my PC but I can't find any way to transfer to my Zumo.
Nice idea, thanks.
Be interested to hear if anyone has been able to but I only have the full maps because I upgraded other Garmin (non Zumo) devices earlier so I guess most others won't.

Unfortunately a 'map update' is more than just a map so sending the map from your PC would get you the map but not all the other files eg junction view

The issue is fixed. Plug your Zumo in and check for an update.
I just got a map update and after I used the "Change Map" button I'm back on full Europe maps.
