Just noticed! the red lead on your multimeter is in the wrong hole! it should be on 'DC' not AC. Move it & retry.
Hey @simoncrewe! I also found it strange. I also thought it should read 5 volts.
I believe the red lead is connected the right place, it can detect up to 1000V DC. The 10ADC port is to detect more than 200mA (up to 10A in DC), which is not the case.

Garmin will send a 3rd cable... They said the multimeter is not supposed to read 10V, should be reading 5V. No shit...
