Sadly it's exactly as @cr0100 and @rbentnail mentioned before - the Zumo XT was showing a animated weather radar also when driving, i think it was until firmware 5.90 - the merge with the Thread firmware (i really hate this point in my Zumo XTs life, that's were most of the problems started!)...

As with most (bad) things regarding the Zumo XT, Garmin said somewhere (i think it was an answer to an user questioning this with the chat support) 'its a feature, not a bug and it's for drivers safety' do not display a animated weather radar while driving, just stop and you'll get animation back!

Yes, the radar app opens. Does yours animate while driving?

BTW, my Drivesmart 55s weather radar animates while driving. Guess they figure it is too dangerous for motorcycles

I'm pretty sure this thread answers my questions but wanted to confirm. Does the arrow in the lower right corner animate the weather radar? And, does this animation only work while stationary?
