Russ, are you sure about the "no recalculating"? I had stopped adding them to my routes but I don't remember why. The only reason I can think of is because of a resulting recalc.

I think technically it recalcs but nothing changes. I touch the location, and then add as next stop. Route changes accordingly to and from that point, the rest of route remains the same.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned...
Its a brave person that relies on the Garmin database being up to date (not really their fault), a few times I have followed the route to a petrol station to find a derelict site. Sometimes its an empty field or a housing estate!
Now I wait till 1/2 or 1/3 of a tank and start looking for the next fuel.

Yup, must view with skepticism. It is not uncommon to find the business permanently closed, sometime obviously so for a long time. More rare is my last experience when I exited a highway following directions to a supposed diner. There was nothing within view except wooded areas and farm fields so I should have known better but I foolishly followed the directions to a decrepit 2-bay garage building that might have stored farm equipment decades ago. There is no way there was ever a restaurant at that location, or even close by. It is one thing to find signs that the business once existed but is quite another to reach a location where the business never could have existed.
