Hi

I'm new in this forum and especially for a question about TourGuide's and GPI Icons.
Therefore already a big thanks for any help.


First the easy bit, the Icons
According to Garmin's website (https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=g ... LNr3BP8m36) it should be max 24 x 24 and Magnete should be used as transparent color.
A GPI with such an Icon can be created using the Garmin PoiLoader successfully, but on the XT the Icon is very small (in comparison to other internal Icons) and icon is shown somehow invers.
When blowing up the Icon using Mac (Big Sur) Preview from 24x24 to 48x48, the Garmin PoiLoader crashes.
Any Ideas or tips here to create bigger and transparent Icons for the XT ?


Now the difficult one.
My GPX contains around 4'000 waypoints.
For 99% I have a image and for 100% a small mp3 Audio file.
Target is to create a TourGuide file according to https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=v ... H6Tsia7hm5

My folder structure looks like: The GPX contains <link tags for each of the waypoints to both the jpg and mp3 using relative path. The GPI creation take a while but successfully created a GPI File.

After load in Zumo XT, I notice that while driving and passing such a POI, on the right side a window pop up showing me the name and the image of this waypoint, but does not play the mp3. The right sided pop up remains till I close it. Btw. showing this pop up is great, like it.

When creating the GPI file with and without the mp3 Files, I see a huge different in GPI file size, so I can assume that the mp3 files are integrated.

Does anyone gets TourGuides on XT up & running ?

No answer for the TourGuide problem (does the Zumo XT support it at all?) - but for the icons i'm using 80x80 pixels with no problems!? With a size of 80x80 they are as big as the pre-installed icons - with 24x24 they are nearly invisible...
Maybe you have an error in bit-depth or color-count with your icons - i'll add my icon for the triumph dealers poi, so you can compare them!

Indeed, your logo is accepted with Garmin PoiLoader.
And it is shown on the Zumo too.

Looks like I have a problem with bmp creation on Mac.

Got my TourGuide working.
My Struktur is correct.
The Problem was in the XT itself

Settings (Einstellungen) -> Driverassistanz (Fahrerasissistenz) -> ?? (Annäherungsalarme) -> TourGuide -> Automatic (Automatisch)

Previously, my setting was "Confirm".
After switching to "Automatic", the sound was played.
However a little bit to early, but this I can set via the PoiLoader with a shorter Distanz.

My POI's are the Passknacker.com POI's
Over 4'000 "Pässe"-POI within Europe.

With a zsh script, I generate a computer spoken MP3 containing the name of each POI.
So I get spoken name instead of a PING when I have one along my route.
