Any point in pairing my Zumo XT to my BMW TFT

I haven't tried this as its pouring down here and I would get drenched but while I'm sat bored in the house I was wondering what peoples thoughts are on pairing the Zumo XT to the BMW TFT?
Is it even possible? I know the wonder wheel wont xoom the maps in and out like it does on the Nav 6.
Would I be able to control the media files on the Zumo XT from the wonder wheel like I can when my smartphone is paired to the TFT ? This is the main reason why i thought about doing this to be honest.
