Why shouldn't change the speed field?

Does anyone know why shouldn't change the speed field?
I'm guessing you mean "can't" rather than "shouldn't", and apart from the answer being "because Garmin programmed it that" way I too wish I knew why they have made some of their UI decisions.
I've long wanted to at least customize a setting that allowed leeway before it went to alert-red. At night on my old 665 I couldn't even read the red numbers against the black background. Allowing me to set either a percentage over or raw scalar over would sure be appreciated. Ditto that for *under* speed, too.
